Sharon Reiland

I live in Pleasantville, Pa on the “Reiland Farm and Shoppe”. This is a small family run farm where we raise llamas, Angora goats and Sheep for their fibers. I am a self taught fiber artist that enjoys working with a variety of media. I spin, weave, felt, knit, cane and make baskets. I have always been drawn to the traditional crafts that were practiced by our ancestors out of necessity, from spinning and weaving their clothing to making baskets to be used in their daily lives. I enjoy passing on what I have learned to others so they may appreciate the craft as much as I do. I have taught classes for Forest Area Arts Council, Oil City Arts Council and Northwest Spinners and Weavers Guild among others.
